Create and save notes
The best way to get started with Quillow is to start creating notes and saving them. The more notes you save, the more useful and powerful Quillow becomes.
We suggest copy / pasting at least 3 notes to start, from your Apple notes / Google keep / Notion / Obsidian. We recommending your notes to be the type of note that is unstructured. For example, braindumps or meeting notes.
Step 1: Create 3 notes
Create a starter note. Write a couple of sentences about anything you like; for example, a recent conversation you may have had with a customer and your raw thoughts.
You can click the "Save" button or hit ⌘ S.
You should see the note processing, and it being categorized and tagged.
Repeat this till you have at least 3 notes.
Step 2: View All Pages
Navigate to "All Pages". You can also do this by hitting ⌘ Shift F. You should see an AI Summary Card of your page.
Step 3: View Categories
Find your note in the appropriate category. e.g. by clicking on "Braindump", if your note was categorized as that. You can navigate to the appropriate category by hitting ⌘ Shift C and then using the down arrow key.
Step 4: Try out global search
Navigate to "All Pages" and try to find one of your notes by searching. When there are 100s of notes, this fast and smart search becomes more powerful as you can have knowledge at your fingertips.
Step 5: Try Q&A
Type ":" (colon), to bring up Q&A directly from the search bar, and ask your notes a question.
Step 6: Save as an AI page
You can save the answer as an AI page, and it will become a qualitative dashboard!
Step 7: Create Custom Category
You can create custom categories to extend the default ones. Let's say you want to take note of your sales calls intelligently (before you would update a CRM). You can create a "Custom Category / Entity" by typing "Sales Calls" in the sidebar, as shown in the image below.
Fill in your prompts on how the AI should organize your pages.
Here is a suggested one (feel free to adjust the prompts)
Name: Sales Calls
Description: Any meeting notes with a prospective or existing customer.
Card Title Prompt: Mention the company name followed by the person's name like this: <Company Name>: <Person Name>
Card Summary Prompt: List in bullet points 3 main points touched in the call. Then, have another point called "Key Action" where the key potential next steps is written.
Tagging Prompt: Always tag the business name, the person's name, the lead's stage like "lead", "opportunity", "deal_won" or "deal_lost". Always also tag the deal size as "low", "medium" or "large".
Happy exploring 🎉
